Our History

Mariachi 2000 was founded in 1989 by group director/leader Carlos Manuel Castro. Inspired by the brilliant American culture, Mariachi 2000 was formed in order to create a new kind of mariachi flavor. By mixing the American and Mexican culture, Mariachi 2000 has achieved a sound and reputation like no other.


Individually, each member of Mariachi 2000 brings their own style of different cultures, nationality, and age to craft the perfect balance of mariachi music. Together, the group creates a breath-taking sound that will blow you away and have you craving more!


Because of their great sound, performance, and reputation, Mariachi 2000 has earned the right and honor to perform on many great stages with many of today’s top artist.

United States White House Visit

On May 5th 2001, Mariachi 2000 has the great honor of playing for President George W. Bush on the greatest stage of them all. Mariachi 2000, along with Pablo Montero and Thalia, performed at the White House in the first ever 5 de Mayo celebration. Many great names including Don Francisco and Emilio Estefan were also in attendance.
